“Mere Anarchy” is the latest release from Moby’s upcoming 15th studio album, Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt, which is due out on March 2, 2018.
Both the music and the lyrics are a haunting and somber examination of world conditions. The music video also adds powerful visuals to the song’s message. According to Moby, the video is “post apocalypse, people are gone, and my friend Julie and I are time traveling aliens visiting the empty Earth.” Both the song and video serves as a wake up call of what will happen if current situations go unchecked.
