Alice Bag is an influential punk musician and feminist activist who is most known for being a founding member of the Bags who were featured in Penelope Spheeris seminal 1981 documentary The Decline of Western Civilization. Her latest solo album Blueprint is due out March 23rd and it is currently streaming on NPR.

One of the highlights of the album is “77” which also features vocal contributions from riot grrrl pioneers Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre) and Allison Wolfe (Bratmobile). The song addresses the wage gap and how women only make 77 cents on the dollars. The song also features a music video which parodies the 1980 film 9 to 5. Bag, Hanna and Wolfe takes on the roles of the three female protagonists that were originally portrayed by Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton.
