Instead of posting a formal best of 2018 list, I created a playlist of 150 songs. 129 of them were featured as a Daily Dose of Protest. The other 21 tunes are socially conscious tunes that are worth listening to. This isn’t an exhaustive listing, but it is a small sampling of the abundance of protest music that was released throughout the year. 2018 was a good year in protest music.
Also, I’ll be resuming Daily Dose of Protest posts in early 2019. It was my original intent to post one every day. I’ll most likely fall short of that objective, but I’ll strive to post frequently. For the remainder of the year, I’ll focus on year-end lists and the Protest Music Hall of Fame posts.
