One of the goals of this site is to create an online archive of artists, albums and songs that have notably contributed to the canon of protest songs.
With that goal in mind, last year I decided I create an online Protest Music Hall of Fame. It is now time to start the nominating process for 2019. The results of the following poll will be used to compile a long list of nominees.
As the website increases in visibility hopefully, we will be able to receive a wider polling response. Also eventually I’ll like to reach out to music historians, journalist, musicians and any others who could be considered experts on the historical developments of socially conscious music.
When filling out the poll, please exclude those who were previously inducted. The poll will remain open until September 30, 2019.
