JusticeAid started in 2013 by a group of civil rights advocates in order to promote justice through the arts. In January 2020 they started a monthly Songs of Protest blog where they feature a playlist built around a theme.
For January the playlist is appropriately built around civil right themes inspired by Martin Luther King Jr. The article features write-ups on ten songs, along with a companion Spotify and YouTube playlist which features additional tunes not featured in the article. Looking forward to seeing what themes are developed in the future.
