Just received an email. Don’t know anything about the group (?), looks like they just released a 3-song EP entitled 8+6+4+7=25.This tune is topical because of the recent uproar with the former FBI director James Comey posting a photo of an 8647 pebble formation. He is being investigated, and at least one other social media influencer received a visit from social media. The term 86 is used in restaurant slang as running out of an item or nixing an item. In bar slang, it can also apply to kicking out an unruly patron. Because it also happens to be used as mob slang for murdering someone, a segment of individuals thought it was logical to conclude that James Comey would be openly placing a hit on the president, publicly on social media. Also, previously, 8646 was also a popular slogan, and Amazon sold 8646 impeach Joe Biden items. So it doesn’t seem to be any nefarious intent but rather an act of protest. Also, this tune does express the potentially controversial stance that Trump would be better off dead and that he deserves a bullet in the head, but it also makes it clear that it is not our place as humans to exercise that judgment. It ultimately promotes impeachment and highlights that the four numbers add up to 25, a reference to the 25th Amendment.
As far as the other tunes on the EP, one is entitled “6947,” a satirical indictment of Trump’s inner circle and MAGA cult members, who figuratively engaged in a certain sexual activity with Trump. The other song is “46 should have been 86 as well,” expressing disapproval for Biden.
