“I’m Gon Make U Sick O’Me” is the lead single off of Parliament’s recently released album, Medicaid Fraud Dogg, their first album in 38 years. The ambitious 23 track concept album been described by Parliament leader and funk icon George Clinton being “about the pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, people selling meds.”

On the YouTube video page for “I’m Gon Make U Sick O’Me”, the addictive funky ditty is aptly described as “George Clinton’s wild and funky musical excursion through the inner workings of the corrupt modern American medical machine”. Even though some of the references are metaphorical, the lyrics also apply to how big pharma makes people sick while also trying to profit from selling the anecdote to the sicknesses that they created.

George Clinton also announced that he will be retiring from touring in 2019.
