“Mute” is the first single from Ex Youth’s recently released debut EP, Oakland Intervention. The band’s frontman Anthony Anzaldo is also the lead guitarist for veteran punk band Ceremony.
This minute and a half blast of politically ferocious hardcore also features a potent music video which features jarring imagery of police violently interacting with civilians. Those striking visuals adds weight to lyrics such as “I can’t begin to explain, how I am so afraid.”
